LifeCenter - Countdown to Completion

Construction on the LifeCenter officially began on Wednesday, March 13, as cement for the first footer was poured during a “Cornerstone Ceremony” at Spirit Life Church.

Spirit Life elders and guests along with representatives of Fabian Dinkins Construction (including Eric Fabian and Chap Dinkins, as well as the project manager and site manager) attended the special event.

Before cement was poured, Dr. Richard shared with the group his gratefulness to God for this momentous occasion.  Fabian-Dinkins representatives also expressed appreciation for their involvement and Pastor Lindsey prayed a special blessing on the project and all involved.

As the cement truck moved into position, two Bibles were placed in a strategic location, directly under the future main entrance.  Cement was then poured as the group celebrated with special photos to commemorate the event.

On Sunday, March 16, Dr. Richard encouraged both Spirit Life locations with a powerful message titled, “Go the Distance.”  In it, he summarized Spirit Life’s eighteen-year history, including the process of building and expanding at each location through the years.  Every level of growth, he explained, required someone to step out in faith and build for the future.

At the end of the service, Dr. Richard kicked off our next capital campaign, called “Countdown to Completion.”  The goal is to raise $300,000 this year, which will enable us to pay monthly payments on the LifeCenter construction loan as well as make necessary improvements to the Gainesville location (see prospectus for more details).
