Our History:
Richard and Gail Perinchief moved to Ocala, Florida, in 1990 and founded Spirit Life Church. They served as pastoral staff members at Orlando Christian Center before relocating to Ocala. Prior to full-time ministry in Orlando, Richard had a successful career as an insurance agent for Independent Life. He finished #1 in the region, #2 in the state of Florida, and #29 in the nation in overall sales. This ability to relate to the needs of people and a desire to build a ministry of integrity has successfully led Spirit Life Church for over 20 years of proven ministry.
Spirit Life’s services were held in a renovated warehouse from 1990 to 1996. During that time, the membership grew from 70 to 400. Services then moved to Belleview Santos Elementary School for a short time as a transition to a new facility. In March of 1996, Spirit Life Church began to host services in a newly built facility located at 6405 S. Pine Avenue, our current site. The membership has since grown from 400 to over 1,000.
Throughout the years, Spirit Life Church has pioneered several works. In 1992, Richard and Gail founded New Generation School for grade levels K-12. The school’s curriculum brings together academics, faith, and character, and produces graduates who are professionally driven and ethically based. In the fall of 1993, Impact Bible College was opened. The college served as a ministry school to both national and international students for several years,graduating over 250 students. 
In 1997, Spirit Life began a middle school outreach program called Strength of the Young. This outreach was first implemented as a youth mentoring program in only one of the county middle schools. Its success, however, has led to its implementation in all Marion County Middle Schools. In 2004 Strength of the Young became its own corporation and received government funding through President Bush’s Faith-Based Initiative.
While Spirit Life Church experienced great success with Impact Bible College, the pastors desired to revise its educational arm. As a result, the Apostolic Commission Training School (ACTS) was opened in 2003. The training school focused on ministry preparation with a concentration on foundational reproduction. The school was designed to teach and demonstrate the spiritual, administrative, and financial wisdom of successful ministry, and then commission its graduates to pioneer new sites. In May 2005, our first new church, Spirit Life Gainesville, was birthed with many graduates of the Apostolic Commission Training School participating in its inception and growth. In addition, 2005 saw the launching of the Apostolic Ministry Partnership (AMP) through which relationships are built with pastors around the nation and the world by impartation and accountability.
Spirit Life Church Gainesville has become an extension of the original vision. We have fully integrated the leadership structure; so that it is one church...one vision...in two cities. After meeting at the University of Florida Hilton for 18 months, we moved into our own facility conveniently located new the Oaks Mall. We have developed a great team to serve the people of Gainesville and Alachua County.
In addition to ministry growth, Spirit Life launched Proton Global Media Group, Inc. Proton Global is an award-winning advertising agency as well as a one-stop production company committed to providing premier media services and the guarantee of a distinctive cutting edge product for its clientele.
Our television program, “Spirit Life NOW” was on the air for nearly a decade, raising the standard of Christian broadcasting. It began on a single local station in the Ocala area and quickly expanded to over 80 nations around the world via satellite. Spirit Life NOW won some of the most prestigious awards in broadcasting, including an Emmy Award from the National Television Academy.
In preparation for the LifeCenter in 2007, we sold all of our analog television equipment with plans to upgrade to high definition in the new facility. 2008 promises to be an exciting year as we complete the LifeCenter and transform our current building into a state of the art Youth and Childrens Center. And coming in 2008, you’ll see Spirit Life Church like never before, broadcasting from the LifeCenter in true high definition.
Our Statements of Faith:
1. The Holy Bible is the inspired, inerrant and only infallible, authoritative, Word of God.
2. There is but one God, eternally existent and manifested in the triune Godhead, three persons coequal in power and purpose; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
3. That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father.
4. That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all, and necessary for the forgiveness of sins.
5. That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
6. In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.
7. Holiness to be God’s standard of living for His people.
8. In the ministry and baptism of the Holy Spirit empowering and enabling Christians to live a holy life in this present world.
9. In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
10. In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, in the name of Jesus.
11. In the local church as the assembly of the righteous to the preaching of the gospel and to world evangelization.
12. Divine healing and abundant life are provided for all in the atonement.
13. In the resurrection of the dead to either eternal life with Jesus for the saved or eternal damnation in hell for the unbelieving lost.
